• Exclusions: When someone in the system has been forgotten, judged, removed, or his or her fate has not been honored (e.g., a stillborn child, an estranged member, a victim of grave wrong), the system tends to “compensate” by having a subsequent member represent him or her or experience a similar fate, until the excluded person is recognized.
• Irreactions: One finds oneself “entangled” in someone else’s destiny, experiencing their emotions, burdens or roles, without being aware of it. One may feel “too big” or “too small” for one’s life, carrying a burden that does not belong to us.

How do constellations reveal hidden dynamics?

• Staging the system: The client brings an issue or problem. Representatives (people, objects, sheets) are chosen for key system members related to the theme.
• The field comes alive: Representatives (or objects/sheets) are arranged in the space. Surprisingly, they begin to hear or show information about the real people they represent and the relationships between them. Emotions, physical sensations, movement impulses emerge from the field.
• Reading dynamics: The conductor observes positions, interactions between representatives, and feelings that emerge. Together with the client, we read the hidden dynamics: who is excluded, who carries a burden not their own, where love flows or does not flow.
• Dissolution movements: Guided by the conductor, one rehearses phrases or postures that honor the past, acknowledge the excluded and allow love to flow again according to the “Orders.”

It is often an intense and transformative experience because it allows one to see the “truth” of the system beyond personal stories.
