Relationship as a mirror of the soul

Love is the most intense laboratory of life. Every deep relationship brings to light what is not yet healed in us. The other becomes a mirror of the soul reflecting hidden parts of our psyche: jealousy, fear, need for control, wounds of rejection. Relationships are never just pleasure. These are alchemical processes that bring the lead of our shadows into contact with the fire of presence.

From falling in love to awareness

Mature love arises when we stop projecting onto each other the task of making ourselves happy. Instead of asking “what am I missing?” we learn to ask “what am I learning?” Each friction is an invitation to look at an aspect of us that we have ignored. Jealousy speaks to us of the fear of not being worthwhile, control of the fear of being abandoned, closure of the difficulty of trusting.

The love that transforms both

When two people choose to stay with truth, love becomes an inner forge. The presence of the other becomes an instrument of awakening. Three ingredients are needed for this to happen: sincerity, listening and responsibility. Saying what you feel without accusing, listening without defending, taking your part without projecting onto the other. In this way, the couple stops being a cage and becomes a path of mutual freedom.
